We are delighted to once again be able to welcome you to Lackagh Heritage Centre for our next presentation by Michael Carroll from the townland of Luggawannia in Killursa DED, author of his Carroll family history, “Valley of the Milk”. Michael who has researched his family history for over 30 years will give a presentation on Why emigrate to Wilmington, Delaware from North Galway?
This talk explores why our emigrant ancestors went there and the events that affected their lives. It not only looks at why they ended up there but some of the factors that influenced them and facilitated their departures – before they left Ireland.
This promises to be a very interesting evening and we look forward to seeing you there. The presentation will take place next Wednesday March 8, 2023 at 8pm We will also be broadcasting simultaneously on line for current members who can’t make it in person.
