Speaker: Gerard Naughton
Our AGM and January lecture takes place on Wednesday 15 January at 8pm in Lackagh Parish Centre. WFHA Committee member Gerard Naughton will speak on his recent work in compiling publishing some family histories in the local area.
Gerard Naughton is a native of Lackagh parish and is a committee member of both Lackagh Museum and of the Western Family History Association. A seasoned family historian, he is also the Ireland Reaching Out coordinator for Lackagh and has been carrying out genealogical research and compiling family histories in the area for several decades.
All are welcome to attend this public talk. Admittance is free for members, and a charge of €5 applies for non-members.
Members of the Association are asked to renew their annual subscription of €20 for 2019 at this meeting. This assists in defraying the costs of running the Association, including room hire, refreshments, insurance and website costs. New members are most welcome to join at any time.
