The speaker for the evening is Dr Michael M. O’Connor, who will give a presentation on: –
Love, Death and Building Public Infrastructure in a time of Cholera – The Galway Contracting Firm of Denis & Hugh Clarke 1818-1838.
Dr. Michael M. O’Connor is a lawyer and independent researcher with a focus on social history, crime and punishment, women and the law and the history and the lives of ordinary people. Dr . Michael is also the author of a number of books the most recent ‘’Criminal Conversation with My Wife – Women & the Laws of Men’’ launched in August 2023.
This promises to be a very interesting evening and we look forward to seeing you there. The presentation is open to members and non-members.
