Genealogy Workshop for Beginners
The Association held an Introductory Genealogy Workshop on February 10th at 7:30pm in Lackagh Parish Centre. The interactive workshop focused on furthering members’ own research by utilising the available online resources. We began with gathering individual family history knowledge, and using this to extract details from the Census Records (National Archives of Ireland), and from the relevant Civil Registration databases for Births, Marriages and Deaths (FamilySearch and Irish Genealogy).
Further workshops are planned in the near future.
